You better shape up, you better understand, there’s a bunch of SEO tools sat in my little lab for you to use.

what’s in there

indexability checker - paste a URL and find out why it might not be indexed. Status code, redirect chain, X-Robots-Tag, robots meta, canonical and robots.txt, all in one pass.

ai visibility audit - what an AI crawler actually gets when it turns up at a page: extracted content, structured data, robots.txt AI directives, sitemaps, llms.txt and per-bot readiness.

robots.txt tester - fetch or paste any robots.txt, get every rule explained in plain English, then test whether a URL is allowed or blocked, and by exactly which rule, for the crawler you pick.

sitemap finder - lost track of your sitemap? Enter a domain and it hunts it down, reading robots.txt and probing the usual (and a few unusual) locations. It’ll also tell a real sitemap from a soft-404 doing an impression of one.

seo explainer - type an SEO term and get three plain-English explanations of it: one for a sharp colleague, one for the meeting, and one you’d draw in crayon.

seo bookmarklets - a set of one-click bookmarklets for quick on-page checks. Drag one to your bookmarks bar; no extension, no account.

why they exist

Because they give quick answers to things that can otherwise take a while to solve. Most of what’s in the lab replaces a job that would mean opening four tabs, squinting at a response header, and second-guessing yourself twice before you’re confident in the answer.

None of them are trying to be an enterprise platform. They show you what you want, quickly, so you can get to fixing.

what’s next

More, as the need arises. That’s genuinely the whole roadmap: when I hit a problem often enough that a tool would help, I build the tool and it lands in the lab.

Each of these deserves a proper post of its own explaining what it checks and how to read the output, and those are coming. For now, have a poke around.

As for me, there’s nothing left, nothing left for me to do, except to keep building cool stuff.
